Hi, IM finka.

I develop leaders who lead from who they are,

not who they think they should be

That distinction has been the through-line of my work for over twenty years. The leaders whose work compounds are the ones who stop performing and start contributing what only they can. The rest stay busy, but never quite land.

how i got here

The long path to

this specific work.

I worked in financial services for twenty years, in sales, leadership, and strategy. What I loved most, even then, was developing leaders to be who they are, rather than who they thought they needed to be.

I’m not just a teacher of this work. I’m a student of it too. I had to learn the hard way, compartmentalizing and contorting myself into the performer, the pleaser, the prover, the perfectionist.

All of it led to a rock bottom on an ER gurney in April 2012, afraid for my life. I swore if I got out alive I would do my life differently.

That was fourteen years ago. I’ve come full circle. I get to teach people that their true impact and leadership stem from the gifts God has granted them, to make the impact that was planted in them.

what draws me to this work

The leaders

I get to work with.

The leaders who come to me are already carrying something specific. They’ve been promoted, they’ve delivered, they’ve earned their seat. What they haven’t yet done is name what makes their leadership specifically theirs.

That work is what I love. Watching someone who has been leading from what they can do learn to lead from what only they can. Watching a team stop apologizing for its wiring and start using it. Watching an organization realize its best leaders were already there, waiting for the language to show up as themselves.

That is the work. And it never gets old.

what i believe

Three convictions that

shape the work

Every leader carries a contribution no one else can make.

The strongest leaders I’ve worked with all share one thing. They know what they bring and they lead from it. The rest are still working from what they can do rather than from who they are.

Development is not about fixing. It's about revealing.

The leaders I work with are not broken and don’t need to be re-engineered. They need language, structure, and a shared framework for what they already know but haven’t named. That’s what my work does.

AI raises the stakes for human leadership. It doesn't replace it.

AI absorbs the transactional. What’s left is the consultative, the strategic, and the human. That’s where the higher work has always lived. My programs develop leaders for that work.

how i work

Consultative. Grounded.

Direct.

I don’t come in with a canned program. I come in with a framework, a set of assessments, and a real conversation about what your leaders actually need.

Every engagement is tailored

The work integrates established frameworks and current research on leadership, emotional intelligence, and organizational psychology. Evidence-grounded, not intuition dressed up as method.

And I’ll tell you what I see, including when a workshop isn’t the right fit or a program needs more time than the calendar allows. Leaders and L&D professionals don’t need another vendor who says yes to everything.
